3 days from today, Malaysia will be celebrating our 64th National Day, on the 31st of August. Malaysia gained independence from the British on 1957. It’s certainly a day to look forward to for a breather, considering, we had been under repeated lockdowns over the last 18 months, and as of yesterday, our daily Covid-19 new infection numbers are the highest recorded, and our government has changed 3 times of the last 2+ years. Still, Malaysians feels a sense of solidarity to truly see the country through these tough times.

Malaysia is a multi racial country in South East Asia, located in between Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore and Philippines. We are a sovereign democratic Commonwealth country with a constitutional king. We have 2 main land masses, Peninsular Malaysia in the west (border to Thailand), and East Malaysia (border to Borneo/Indonesia). We have 13 states and 3 Federal Territories.
The government is led by the elected Prime Minister, assisted by his appointed cabinet members.
