For the first step, You may search the community for mentions of the Local Guides Community in
by “Search” option on Local Guides Connect.
And secondly, as you mentioned,
If you want to connect with other Local Guides in your area, you have many options and I’ll try to summarize them for you:
- You can seek upcoming gatherings in the Meet-ups section
- You can host a gathering yourself, following these tips on How to organize a successful meet-up
- You can set up and follow your favorite locations to be notified when someone posts on the forum about them

I was just in Wellington a few weeks ago the day after the 
snow and cold temperature.

Good to know you are here and you’re also living in the city of sail’s
Hopefully we can find some more local guides in Auckland… arrange a meetup and take it from there.
I haven’t been that active on connect so going to to some learning

I was just there a few weeks ago at the wearable art event and attended a wedding at the boat shed
I caught the good weather when I was down there.
