Hi everyone ! Today I will share some travelling tips to visit Puri , India . Puri is mainly known for its marvellous Hindu Shrine , Sri Jagannath Temple . It is a temple related to Lord Vishnu’s incarnation , Lord Krishna . In the month of July 2021 , Rath Yatra will take place ( to be exact , on 12th July ) .
In order to attend the holy religious ritual on the day of Rath yatra, here are some basic informations given below :-
- Section 144 of IPC will come into force on the day of Rathyatra . Only selected few servants of Lord’s shrine will be allowed to conduct the Rath Yatra. In other words , there will be no in - person attendance by the visitors .
- Even if anyone wants to stay at the hotels on the Baradanda Road ( the road to Gundicha temple ) , no one will be allowed . If anyone breaks the law , he/she may face huge penalty or criminal charges .
- Staying on hotels other than those on Baradanda road will be allowed if you have Covid negative certificate and have done RT-PCR test 72 hours prior to arrival in Odisha ( Puri is a coastal city in the coastal State of Odisha ) .
- All vehicular movements will come to a halt on the day of Rath Yatra . If anyone tries to walk by foot to attend the religious event , they might end up in jail or face heavy penalty .
- All trains to Puri will be terminated at Khurda Road Junction . No buses or any other mode of public transport will be allowed to travel towards Puri .
- Only way to reach Puri is by travelling in private means of transportation.
- People from outside of Odisha State , will have to show negative COVID test certificate , with the test being done 72 hours prior arrival into Odisha . There will be a further 14 day mandatory quarantine upon arrival in Odisha .
In other words , it is quite difficult to enter Puri and nearly impossible to attend the ceremony .
No worries , Lord Krishna and his devotees always reside in each other’s hearts : ) .
