Our official 1st virtual meetup was organized on Sunday, 29th March 2020. Since we know meetups are always exciting, informative and beneficial in all terms. You meet people, exchange your ideas and even explore more about yourself too. It improves your confidence too as to how to represent yourself. Since dynamics have changed around the world, the same way, Google has also allowed us to interact more creatively. Therefore, the moment they rolled out the option of having virtual meetups, we witnessed a bundle of virtual meetups around the globe.
It was my 1st virtual meetup and 1st one with the Pakistan Local Guides community too. We all have been making so many contributions on Google map, but never got the chance to cut off our daily routine and bring together the community in one place. So this new initiative of having a virtual meetup was organized by one of our senior Local Guides and our mentor @KashifMisidia
Despite keeping all the possibilities of availability and delays, it was so lovely to see everyone signing in right at the given time. We shared our experiences and queries. We had some jokes and laughter too during our conversation, which I’m not going to share here. We shared our real life experiences, future meetup plans, map updates and passion towards the Local Guides program. It was so interactive that we couldn’t realize that we have been talking from last 2 hours.
In the end, I would like to say thank you to my seniors and other Local Guides members for making it a beautiful memory and I hope to get the same support in the future as well. I would like to thank @KashifMisidia , @OmerAli and @Haseeb for managing the panel and @Muhammad_Usman , @BehzadTaimur , @SimonAndrews and @Bilal_shaikh for active participation and useful tips.
