There is a famous dialogue of an Indian movie “ wo Jena bhi kia Jena, jisma KICK na ho". I define it as “Life is pointless without FUN :)”.
Probably, two of our favorite Local Guides @KashifMisidia and @AmbrishVarshney had the same thing in mind. And they arranged an Indo-Pak virtual meetup last Saturday on 4th of April 2020. Indo-Pak means two neighboring countries Pakistan and India. What else you could wish for an exciting weekend.
We both neighbors share a history and have some similar cultures, which gives us the ease to understand each other and even our languages have many similarities now. Anyways, the agenda of this meetup was to share our experiences and tips to improve maps global wide. Our meetup started with the introduction of our attendees @KashifMisidia and @AmbrishVarshney , maintaining the discipline of the session, allowed us to introduce ourselves. The fun chapter began, when we all shared food specialty of our regions. In Pakistan, we have a diverse culture and so as our food. India being so big has different specialties too. One of the most common and famous dish in both countries and liked by the masses is “Biryani".
=> Reminder to those who were cooking and we wanted them to share with us their home-made recipes whenever possible .
Part of the session was dedicated to future meetup plans. And good to know that both countries Local Guides are keen to arrange meetup. For this, @Sarbland and @khawajamazhar suggested an awesome idea to have a meetup at Kartarpur which is the most convenient place for both countries to gather up for a lifetime meetup. Meanwhile, @TravellerG invited us to visit India which was so pleasing too.
The discussion continued with exchanging tips for improving maps and reviewing our profiles on the Google Map. I had a genuine concern on duplication of pictures on Maps. A lot of advises were shared to manage our profiles were quite useful and helped us to analyze our contributions done in the past. And as usual, the session became like a never-ending dream conversation because nobody wanted to leave the session.
Finally, our hosts jumped in and reminded us that they need to close the session before the lock-down is started in neighborhood and they wanted to buy groceries too. I would like to say thank you to my hosts and all the participants for such a great time and healthy session. I hope to see you all in future.
I would like to thank @StephenAbraham , a connect moderator, for helping us out regarding our queries and congratulation to @KashifMisidia and @AmbrishVarshney for arranging such a wonderful meetup.
By the way, if I have missed anything regarding our discussion, do share it with us in the comments.
Cheers to All.
