Atlantic City, New Jersey Summer of 2020

My best friend since High School and Iboth lost our jobs because of Covid-19. We just spent almost 4 months locked inside our homes,so we decided to stay in Atlantic City,New Jersey. Atlantic City is called America’s Playground. This summer was one of the best summers I ever had. I don’t know how we did it but we survived from early July untill the beginning of November. The boardwalk was filled with people everyday. The smell of cotton candy, funnel cake, pizza, the smell of sweets and fried foods overwhelmed the air on the boardwalk. You could hear the seagulls and the Atlantic City theme song they play all day and night up and down the boardwalk. At night people are laughing and carrying on as they walk up and down the boardwalk. The boardwalk has restaraunts, amusement rides,go carts, games for prizes,Casinos, and Hotel’s.We went to Atlantic City with basically no money saved up and both of us didn’t even have a job. The reason we went to Atlantic City is because I had a 3 night hotel comp at Harrah’s. The 2 nd night at Harrah’s I won $4600. I racked up over 8,000 tier points that night and when we checked out the following day I had 10,000 tier points. I was receiving 3 night stays at Caesars Entertainment Property’s,so We would leave from Harrah’s Casino and we would go to Bally’s Resort and Casino, back to Harrah’s,then to Caesars,Harrah’s,Bally’s and so on.

A month went by quick and by the beginning of September I had 32,000 tier points and we were getting the biggest rooms in the casinos. I would gamble all day and night and my friend would have a bunch of people in the room everyday. I met so many people this summer for every state and Country that I couldn’t keep up with everyone. Some nights I’d come back from gambling and there would be people sleeping on the couch,in the bedrooms and on the floor. It was around September 11th and I remember watching a series about 911 when we were leaving Ceasar’s Casino. We had no where to stay because there is a law now that does not allow you to stay so many consecutive days at the casino. We slept outside that night and I ended up going to Borgota Casino because they had tier match and they gave me a higher card with $100 free slot play and 2 free night comped,so we checked in that morning at 6:30am. I had another great night gambling at Borgota, so within 2 weeks I was able to get 2 free nights a week at Borgota and I was also getting food comps for 2 people at Laurel Lounge.

When October started I was getting 4 free nights a week at Harrah’s, 4 nights a week at Caesar’s, 4 nights a week at Bally’s, and 2 nights a week at Borgota. I also was getting 2 free meals a day for 2 people at Laurel Lounge located in Bally’s, Tropicana, Harrah’s, and Caesar’s. My free slot play was $375 a day 4-5x’s a week. I was having the time of my life gambling with their money, staying in suites for only $5.50 a night, eating free, drinking for free, and meeting new people daily. By then end of October I had a loyalty card at every Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey. We didn’t bother looking for jobs all summer because we can stay at the Casinos for only $175 a month. I only pay taxes of $5.50 a night. I spent more tipping then I did for the rooms. There wasn’t much to do outside the Casinos because Covid shut so much down. There were no bars or clubs open so we pretty much brought the entertainment to us. Since there was no poker except at Borgota we had games in our rooms. This Summer was one of the best Summers I’ve had in a long time. We are still staying at the casinos and I continue to take pictures and adding them to maps. I would love some suggestions or ideas so feel free to message me or Like my pictures and comments.

Thank you for sharing the interesting story during lockdown and your winning streak at the casino.

Congratulations on posting your first article @John_P_Cook and a warm welcome to the wonderful world of LG Connect.
Additionally, I would also suggest adding some pictures of the casino and boardwalk - that would look awesome.
