By day I’m a medic, screaming around the streets of Berkshire (Reading and Wokingham) fixing broken people when I can and making sure they get the correct medical help when I can’t.
After dark however, I turn my eyes up, usually with a telescope or camera not far away.
If anyone would be interested in learning how I do it, let me know, and I’ll get my education head on.
The shots above are from a while ago and one is obviously the moon, shot from nothing more flash than a canon EOS 100D, so, a basic DSLR. The other is the Orion nebula, same camera, but this time mounted to a small telescope.
This week, I’ve been trying to shoot the SpaceX Satellites as they orbit overhead, IF I am succesful, I’ll post those shots later. I’ll also be covering star trails later this week.
As the title would suggest, I’m a beginner when it comes to astrophotography, but not astronomy, so if anyone needs help navigating the night sky, please ask away.
Thank you for sharing your shots with us. As a beginner, you captured astonishing photos! I’m trying to upgrade my skills too, but I never tried astrophotography since I don’t have the right equipment. For how long have you been practicing photography? And, which is your favorite type?
