Many of you might have seen Jantar Mantar, but today I will take you on a photo walk of Jantar Mantar, a wonderful place in Delhi, which is a fascinating amalgamation of ancient astronomy and architecture. Built in the 18th century by Jaipur Maharaja Jai ​​Singh II, this observatory was once a precise centre for studying the movement of planets and stars.

The huge stone structures, such as the Samrat Yantra and other astronomical instruments, look so impressive that they testify to the knowledge and skill of the scientists of that time. Today, Jantar Mantar is a serene and historical place in the hustle bustle of Delhi, which gives visitors an opportunity to take a peek into India’s rich scientific past. It is truly a place where history and science meet!

And two things I noticed here are firstly that wheelchair users can also visit here and there is a braille script stand for the blind person.

Secondly, there is a plastic bottle recycling point. But keep this in mind that the entry fee here is only Rs 20/- and if you are coming with your own vehicle then the parking fee is Rs 10/-.

The intention of Maharaj Jaipur behind building this observatory was to know the position of the planets.Which was created with the help and knowledge of an astrologer (pandit ji - in Hinduism knowledgeable person of ved puran ) & other people.And my reason for visiting here was to try and understand the Astronomical Clock Tower.
And yes,dear @JustJake one is not allowed to go inside these machines(yantra), but if you look at the stairs from the window with concentration, you might feel a state of confusion for a few seconds.& i like very much your way of replies.
