Associating Food Pictures with Memories

My friends and I go to a tea shop called LimeRed Teahousein Boston, MA. This place just screams “hey most of my furniture could be from Urban Outiftters and Ikea!”, which I don’t mind. I buy my bubble tea and matcha tiramisu, set it against a wall filled with leaves, and take a picture of it so I can later upload it to my instagram and google maps. I feel like there’s something special about looking back at pictures of food. When i look at my picture of the matcha tismisu, I think about how my cheeks were so cold from just being 5 minutes outside, to it being flushed with warmth in less than 5 minutes because of the hot pot we ate. I think about how we tried out different macaroons at the tea shop and insisted the lavender flavor was the best because it was different from the rest. To me, food pictures on google maps aren’t just pictures to look it, but rather breadcrumbs of my memories. In some way these food pictures I’ve taken reveal a little bit about me and just the kind of person I am. So to whoever is looking at my pictures, I hope my breadcrumbs helps you with creating your own story to share to others.
