Ask me where to find the best Dosas (South Indian breakfast) in the UK?

So, how many of you all know what exactly a Dosa is?

Well, it is a very famous south-Indian dish which is made out of fermented rice batter. It is considered to be a good source of protein in terms of nutrition and also low in calories.

There are more than 50 varieties of Dosas but it is very hard to find all those varieties in London. I have never come across any place in the UK which makes all 50 varieties.

But, one can find the basic varieties of Dosas in any typical Indian restaurant served with great flavorful chutneys. Listed below are few of the places in London where the authenticity remains high,

Taste of India, East Ham

Saravana Bhavan, East Ham

Vasantha Bhavan, East Ham

For those of you who have never seen a Dosa before, kindly check out the pictures below to tempt yourself

This is the first time I hear the Dosa. Is it considered a snack, an appetizer or more like a main dish?

Well, it is a main dish but usually had for breakfast or dinner in South India. You should definitely try it in your nearest Indian restaurant and I am sure you would addicted to it’s flavor with the chutneys…
