Ask Maps helps a Chai Lover Discover Authentic Tea Shops

Last week, I attended a meetup in Mumbai hosted by amazing local guide @Shubham28

On my way home to Pune, I used the new Ask Maps feature with this query.

Suggest a few chai tea shops when traveling from Mumbai to Pune by road using the Expressway. If the chai shops have adopted sustainability practices, that would be great. The tea shop should provide jaggery tea, as I do not consume sugar.

This was a composite query, which was discussed in detail in the online meetup last month.

Ask Maps came up with amazing suggestions…

I chose Indrayani Tea since they offered Jaggery Tea

Ask Maps also provided detailed information about the vibes, the tea, and the sustainability practices, which I had asked for.

It was located inside the Food Plaza Court mall.

Here’s their view from inside the mall.

They also have a counter from the outside of the mall.

Indrayani Tea also complies with centralized waste segregation rules. They emphasize high-volume, fresh-batch brewing in large brass vessels rather than repetitive single-serving boiling, reducing energy usage per cup.

Once again, Ask Maps proved to be immensely helpful for a tea lover like me who is also sensitive to sustainability practices and cares for our planet in locating an ideal tea shop.

Has Ask Maps launched in Belgium yet?

I am sure you would enjoy it thoroughly as well

Das ist sehr interessant, @TusharSuradkar. Würdest du mir bitte erklären, warum Jaggery für dich so wichtig ist?

Thank you for the question, @Annaelisa

It is my teeth
Somehow, I noticed that jaggery does not give me a toothache the way sugar does.
:plus: These general benefits:

  1. Jaggery contains iron, calcium, magnesium, and potassium, which sugar lacks. This can help with anemia and bone health in non-diabetic individuals.
  2. Less processed: Jaggery retains molasses and phytonutrients due to minimal processing.
  3. Traditional uses: Jaggery is valued for aiding digestion and providing warmth in winter.

What kind of sweetener do you prefer or use?
