As a Local Guide

Hi My name is Niz, I am a local guide in Toowoomba, Australia. Being a Local guide is overwhelming. I love to travel. I have been to different places and I still want to travel more places. As a local as much as possible I want to provide important details to my viewers. Something that will definitely help them or guide them whenever they are traveling or about to travel in a certain place. I am a passionate photographer. Most of the time I am using my phone for my reviews. But whenever I can I am also uploading photos from my DSLR. It will be a great opportunity to be part of the Connect Live 2020. I want to meet local guides like me. Hear their stories and Learn from their experience. Honestly I wish I was already part of the local guide 8 years ago. 8 years ago I have traveled a lot in different countries. Visited so many places. The only way I could share it, is on Facebook with my friends. But If I was a local guide I could have tell the world how beautiful the world is. My best experience when traveling was Nepal. I got to experience Paragliding, meet lots of local, visited many places, ate lots of local food, bush walking, see the sunlight/sunset in the mountain or while sailing in the river. Unfortunately I did not have the chance to share it to the world. A year after I traveled to Nepal there was a big Earthquake that hit many places I visited. The Earthquake left a huge damage in Nepal. It was really sad. My point is as a local guide we can also spread awareness and tell people how beautiful and wonderful the world is. We cannot tell what is going to happen next. But the memory remains in the reviews and photographs that we share in every places we visited. It could be part of the history of once a beautiful place ruin by a natural disaster. I believe as a local guide we can make a difference.

Hi @NizChoi ,

It seems that you’ve shared a post for your Connect Live 2020 application. Keep in mind, one of the requirements is to share your post on Local Stories, so I’ve moved your post there, thanks.

Feel free to have a look at the application guidelines and find some handy tips for creating an application

Oh that’s perfect Thanks a lot.
