How Passionate are You?
When I was young, I dreamed of becoming a comic maker and journalist. Now I get both, being a graphic designer / illustrator and also able to write. But not as a journalist, and I still want it… 
Almost two years ago I knew local guides. And when I started joining I found passion like a journalist. Being somewhere is more meaningful, taking pictures like a photographer, then making a review like writing to a news agency. It makes me confident. And when they ask about me, I’m proud to say “I’m a local guide!”
In addition to making reviews on the map, I tried to rewrite and post them on the blog platform such as Medium (in English) and Detik travel (in Indonesia). And most recently, I was very happy when I was accepted as an independent publisher in the Google Play Book. That’s all because I desire to share information in a wider scope. I am excited to write and make it in e-book format. Not only about reviews (which I have written on the map) it also gives me the opportunity to write e-books with various themes such as travel journals, interiors, culture, or small knowledge for children.
Not only sharing on maps, I am also happy when my skill in graphic design / illustration can support my activities in this huge community. Trying to make it useful for fellow local guides around the world.
What’s Next?
Next time, I want to do more as a local guide. I like children and plan to make small communities whose members are them. Of course the activities are related to local guides, although not directly. It can start from building an understanding of public space, caring for the environment, thinking about garbage, or how to make smartphones more useful for your life, or a small trip that is fun for them.
And one more thing I want to do is make a children’s book filled with illustrations and photos, which contain everything about Google. I can do it from here, but it would be very different if you could visit the real Google office, didn’t you? Ha ha…
