Are you one of these 7 amazing types of Local Guides?

Are you a trailblazer or a fact hunter? A multimedia guru or a passionate reviewer with insider tips? Every Local Guide brings a unique perspective to the community, and we want to spread the word about your amazing contributions. Over on The Keyword (Google’s official blog!), we showcased the Local Guides community to readers in a fun post about some of the different types of specialists who contribute. So, which kind of Local Guide are you?

Do you obsess over posting stunning photos and constantly check your photo view count? You’re probably a Visualist! Love to chat with others on Connect, host meet-ups, and add likes to other Local Guides’ reviews on Google Maps? You might be a Connector! Or do you focus your contributions on accessibility and never miss an episode of the Local Heroes series on YouTube? Thank you, Advocate!

Check out the post to see if you identify with any of the seven kinds and tell us which one below. You might even find that you’re a combination! Think we missed a type of Local Guide? Let us know in the comments what you would add to this list.

To spread the word about your contributions even further, we’ll be sharing an Instagram story highlighting Local Guides on Friday, so make sure you follow @Google!

There are many kinds of Local Guides, but you’re the only one exactly like you. Thank you for sharing your passions with others every single day. Your individual contributions are what make Local Guides a vibrant, inclusive community.

Hi @kmajewski ,

Thank you for sharing this post. I think there is no area in which I’m not fitted.

I’m always happy to help.

I do agree with @HelloSamsonR , @LucioV is the top solution author since I’ve joined LG program. We also need kudoist for our kudo legend @OSAMA .

I have read this post in The Keyword, shared by @Badruddeen . And I have been wondering what I am, a visualist, or a connector! Then I thought I might be the multimedia guru, but I am an advocate too. Well, I think we all are a little of everything.

Thank you for sharing this @kmajewski . I have already earned my badges for master photography, master reviewer, master fact finder and expert trailblazer. But after reading the article I seriously started thinking what I actually am.

I’ve identified myself as the ‘fact finding sage’

But you should also include the ‘aggregator’, somebody who collects photos and info from friends who may be too lazy to post on Maps themselves.

I’m confused who I am, I found myself as visualist, fact finder, trailblazer, sage, connector, multimedia guru and an advocate too.
