ARE ROADS ADDITION CLOSED ??!!!

I wanted to post this question from long time ! But I kept waiting to see if there will be any changes about the ( Missing Roads ) category, if it will come back fast approval or rejection !! for ROADS .

Listen please, I am not showing off myself to you that I am a roads drawer, I am just wondering that the approval of the drawing roads is not like before !

Last year I used to receive a results of my drawn roads if will be rejected or approved faster, but this year I believe there is a system issue there with Google !

Please don’t wonder what I am saying . Going by my experience in how to draw roads on the Maps, I am notifying you that there is something wrong with this category of Maps Contribution !

Yes, I am still waiting to receive either approval or not ,but there is no news about a big bunch of my drawn roads on the Maps ! .

Note that the number ( 66 ) is jammed ! It doesn’t want to increase up !

If you check my Maps Profile there with Googlers, you will not believe how many roads drawn by me and been waiting for the results !

Don’t tell me because of Covid-19 !! I receive a results of all Maps Contribution Categories ( adding places, editing, …etc ) except the drawing roads section !! I have a drawing roads drawn on the Maps by me befor Covid-19 disturbed the entire world ! and they are still with no results !.

I was hoping to be a distinguished LG in my country by the Roads Drawing as it’s my interest in Map’s contribution and there is no LG in Jordan think to add roads ! I believe I did a great improvement on the Maps by my roads addition in my area, Unfortunately I am upset .In my.side, I have no problems to keep Maps contributing specially the roads, but the problem there in Google’s side !

Come on move little do something , even if all my drawn roads rejected, trust me ,I will go back again and will re draw them all, I trust myself.in how to draw missing roads. I just want to receive something ( rejection or approval ) and this is a challenge between me and Google ! lol. You just need to check back this category, it’s dead , I know what to do, last year I used to receive rejection sometimes, bit when I get back to the same spot of missing roads, I re - draw and the next results would be great .

Please move ahead , and watch me how fast will draw the missing roads in my area.

Dear @OSAMA_1

This problem is not only in your area /country. Here on Connect we have seen reports from India, some other countries in the Middle East and Bangladesh, I believe, where Local Guides have been cut off from adding roads.

It might not be a simple bug but a measure put in place to prevent unwanted edits.

I fully agree that it is a problem, but from experience don’t expect Google moderators to explain why you experience this. The best you can hope for is a commitment to investigate the problem.

Let me tag @DeniGu for you. After Christmas she will hopefully take a look and try to help you.

Hey @MortenCopenhagen . When there was a Street View discussion board, I remember we were talking there about the missing Blue Lines when they approved. There was a critical and abnormal issues with Street View shooting! and we talked a lot there , I believe there is a malfunction regarding with both Blue Lines and the roads because both are ( streets/ roads ) . !!.

Two days ago I’ve shot a one KM and little of Street View, and guess what kind of issues !

I don’t see any Blue color along the street, though when I hit the street it shows the arrows and it works !!

So , I am thinking there is something wrong maybe with both Blue Lines and Roads maybe!

When did you first notice that the number of added roads in your Local Guides account has stopped increasing? And since when have you stopped receiving emails about added roads?

One more thing: Could you please tell me the Maps app version and the operational system on your mobile phone that you’re using? This will help the team with their investigation. Thanks a lot!

Ok, In the beginning of 2019, it was great roads addition approval that I scored a 66 approved drawn road, however , I received very little rejection of drawn roads. I started to notice that I don’t receive either a rejection or approval notifications last year

2020 on FEBRUARY ! . From that time it started very slow then nothing. . I used to use ( Huawei Mate 7 ) Marshmallow 6 System, and another smart device ( Doogee S50 ) Nougat 7 system. In the whole year of 2919 when I scored 66 approved drawn roads.

About the Maps app version, I always use the last updated version from GP store.

Hope that will work with you there and will make changes.

I am still waiting a big bundle of the drawn roads to be either rejected or approved from more than 8-9 months ago.

I am still wondering about the delay of my drawn roads approval in my country!.

Back almost one month ago and litte, I’ve talked about this annoying case as my post here

Since you @DeniGu tracked with me this issues, please note again the screen shots they show more than a month of delay to approve !!

Remember my screen shot that shows the not increasing numbers of my roads addition in my previous post about the same case was ( 66 ) !! .

Now after a couple months, I came back here to show you that nothing changed.

I doubt that is only in my country because a few of my LGs friends informed me that they have no issue delaying about their roads addition in their countries !!

No bro, It is not only in your country and it is a global thing. In fact, these days the conditions are much better and if you add roads it will apply faster than before (still not all reports) but for previous attempts, it was really a long delay to apply whether new roads or edited roads. Also sometimes it is hard for the system to detect traffic on a newly added road and it may wait longer.

Most of the users, here, also discontent with these conditions. I hope by the new editing tool we see a much better situation for road reports.

To me , it was faster before @Amiran !. Over the passed one year I suffered too long time and till now , the delay is still not as normal !

What I am wondering is , I use a ( Roads Mapper ) program to draw roads in different countries in my Disk top and the results come very fast within three days only !

What is the difference between both adding roads in my mobile to my LGs’ Profile and that one in disk Top !!

Both are for drawing roads !!

Although Road Mapper using nearly the same tool, it is a different program and has its own staff, so we shouldn’t expect the same conditions for both.

I have also lots of pending and not applied roads, but if the road is very important I always try to explain the issue in the Maps forum to get direct help.

For other smaller roads previously I preferred to report again but now I’m eagerly waiting for the new Road Editing tool

You know @Amiran , I also need to know , when the coming disk top new feature available for all, will we still be able to add roads via mobiles also like normal!? Or I am afraid drawing roads via mobiles will be shut down because of the new disk top feature !!

Oh God, I could get almost more than 120 roads addition if there is no delay from last year !!

Yes @OSAMA_1 even after the availability of desktop Road Editor we expect it is still available on mobile but with better control and check. One reason that Google closed Map Maker was that it wasn’t a tool for all platforms, Now they definitely do not discontinue a tool that is already available on portable devices.

They told, “we’ve made it even easier for you to report road changes with a new, immersive desktop road editing tool.” so don’t worry. I think we should expect much better condition both on desktop and mobile.

Well @Amiran , I really don’t care for the new coming disk Top feature !

I am mostly a.mobile user out in the open .

I will not take my laptop and start editing roads out. Even when come back from outside, I won’t open my laptop to start editing , because I am already came from outside editing .

Mobile phones are the best for a LGs

@OSAMA_1 It totally depends on the user but as I saw mappers prefer desktop editor because they have more control over what they’re drawing. You should experience the enjoyment of editing roads on a desktop (note that it is different from the current Road Mapper program with its own and limited challenges) So let’s wait to see which one you will prefer in the future!
