The use of digital imagery to describe events, places and so on is becoming ever so popular.
Having studied geology earlier in my carreer, mapping is a common phenomenon to me hence the pleasure to capture moments especially those ones that describe an area according to its unique features.
I like to keep a record of my trips and at the same time leave behind a trail for those who may traverse the same path. My major concentration/contribution to google mapping is to capture good lodging venues in new travel destinations, and to capture places were one can gain easy access to good restaurants and shopping outlets. One of the biggest challenges travellers face is identifying locations in areas that constantly undergo structural transformation, thus when I capture a place or scene I believe it helps to update the relevant landmarks that represent such places as at the time of capture.
