Someswara Temple is situated in Kolanupak Aler in Telangana India. It was built in the 11-12th century by the Kakatiya kings. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva and has its name owing to the shadow on the lingam. The sculpture of the temple and intricately carved pillars add on to its beauty. The pillars are carved with stories from the Hindu epic stories. The rare combination of simplistic yet advanced architecture along with intricate carvings gives this temple a unique touch. The temple complex also has an Archeological Museum with several hundreds of sculptures. But surprisingly it is abandoned, and there is no proper maintenance in spite of such great significance.

Hi @Abhijit_Kartik and thanks for sharing this amazing photo with us!
This beautiful temple is a real shame that it is left to fall into ruin. It also seems to me that it is not so safe to enter it or is it still open inside?
Bye,
David
Hi @davidhyno , The authorities of the temple are the real shame they are the ones who left it to ruin. Had it been maintained and renovated on time it would have been in a good condition now. The structure is strong and it is safe to go inside. Thanks,
Abhijit
