Arabic Coffee experience

When I attend an event, I’m asked often “What was your best memory in this event?”. Such cases, most of the cases I answer “Coffee!”, but it is neither a lie nor a joke. A cup of coffee tells me a lot of things that the history and culture of the place, people’s character and more. Therefore, coffee is very important for my journey.

This time, I experienced “Arabic Coffee” for the first time. It had a very unique flavor that my first time. And it gave me a new delight and impact actually.

The way to make it and the tools are similar to Turkish Coffee but it has a big one different point. It’s to use Cardamon when boiling down it. Cardamon is a popular spice that used for Ginger ale. As this spice affects a big effect on the flavor and taste, some people may don’t like it. But I love and felt interesting! I imagined various things from a cup, for example, the past people tried to get benefits of Cardamon with coffee. Don’t you think it is fun? And this time, I had the opportunity to learn the manner and the traditional way to drink it, they were also very interesting.

If you have an opportunity to drink it, please try it once. At least, it will become a good experience for you.

By the way, I forgot to buy an Ibrik (Small pot for boiling out coffee). I never miss the next chance!

[Japanese]

Thank you @Carl , @MuhannadK , and @Christine_T !

I cannot drink coffee because it makes my heart go crazy, but I love seeing how people drink it across the world! Tea and coffee ceremonies are something so special for cultures worldwide.

Hello, @MarleneGu

Thank you for your comment. That’s true. It is not just a drink, also an interesting culture.

Recently, there are a lot of kinds of caffeine-less coffee or tea. If you have a chance to attend such a meet-up, please try to go and enjoy conversation with a cup of drink you like:-)

@HiroyukiTakisawa - is the Arabic coffee strong? Like an espresso shot? More for sipping?

Cheers,

Karen

Hi, @KarenVChin

The explanation is difficult but not strong like an espresso. It has a verrry unique taste. I’ll definitely sip it again but I can’t say it suits for all the people:-) Anyway I recommend to try once if you have a chance.

Yes, I know and love it! I used to use Perú’s coffee beans for the base of my blend coffee.
Actually, the way to drink coffee in Perú is also unique, isn’t it? Later, please share it with me!
