Arabian Custard Pudding | Home-made Dessert

Craving something irresistibly sweet? This dessert is the perfect blend of comfort and indulgence, and the best part? You probably already have the ingredients at home! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
Last week we hosted a feast at home and i made this dessert and it tasted amazing!

A simple and authentic Arabian Custard Pudding recipe :

Ingredients:
• 5-6 slices of bread
• 2 cups milk
• 3 tbsp custard powder
• 4 tbsp sugar (adjust to taste)
• 1 tbsp butter (for greasing)
• 2 tbsp chopped pistachios or almonds
• grated dark chocolate and dry fruits for garnishing

Instructions:
• Prep the bread: Remove crusts if desired and cut bread into cubes. Lightly toast them in a pan or oven to dry them out a bit.
• Make the custard:
• Mix custard powder with 1/4 cup cold milk.
• Heat remaining milk with sugar
• Once hot, stir in the custard mix and keep stirring until thickened.
• Turn off the heat and keep aside
• Assemble the pudding:
• Grease a baking dish with butter.
• Layer the bread cubes evenly.
• Sprinkle in grated chocolate/ dry fruits
• Pour the warm custard over the bread, pressing gently so it soaks in.
• Freeze for 2-3 hours
• Garnish & serve:
• Top with chopped nuts and a drizzle of honey or rose water if you like.
• Serve chilled.

Also, I tried this for the first time and it turned out pretty good!

Hello @Gezendunyali
Thank you for the appreciation! I’m not sure if this dessert is available at restaurants. Since it’s an Arabian dessert you can find in it in the middle east.
