April-May: tropical fruits season in Cambodia

Talking about fruits, it is the best time you eat fresh from the farms and plantations.

This time of the year, you will see fruits stall almost everywhere!

I would like to show you some of the fruits we have these days.

By the way, durian is just coming but not much yet and thus more expensive. May would be its season!

  • @Rohan10 thank you for sharing with me, the video is interesting highlight. I think we have similar mango to Kesar, other than that I don’t think they are the same, probably different species. Wait till Corona is gone, you can try and come to Cambodia to taste a different one. I am sure you like it, hehe!*

  • @Shatu yes, I think we have the same weather, seasons and other things since we are in the same geographical area.*

Hi @Sophia_Cambodia

The fruits look really delicious. I love mango so much and I always get it when I see it in supermarkets. I bet it’s not as delicious as you have it there all fresh. Another favorite fruit is pineapple, you probably have them too?

I’ve never tasted the lychee. What is it? How does it taste like? Which is your favorite fruit?

  • @DanniS interesting! Yes, fresh mango and a variety of them which tastes different too!*

we have pineapple too and the one special species is called Honey Pineapple (huge one, up to 4kg per fruit). Lychee, I don’t know how to explain. It is like longan too, you can eat them fresh, dried or canned ones.
