Dublin has many delicious oriental restaurants to enjoy, and the Capel Street area is often affectionately known as China Town for its numerous Asian restaurants and supermarkets. My top spots include:
Musashi- there are four or five of them around the city and all of them serve great quality food, including the best yasai gyoza and fabulous fried ice-cream. The only downside is that it only serves its beautiful bento box at lunch-time.
EatTokyo- this little spot in Temple Bar is somewhere we frequent before a trip to the nearby Abbey Theatre. It has a lovely atmosphere, and great food! I highly recommend the tempura.
Yamamori- this spot is a classic hangout for all ages, and I have enjoyed many enjoyable evenings at both the restaurant on the Quays and my slightly preferred venue on Georges Street (the music there is quieter and the atmosphere a little cosier). I love almost everything on the menu, so love the fact that the bento box changes daily, saving me decision making.
PhoTa- I was brought to this spot in Temple Bar by a Vietnamese friend who advised that this is the closest Ireland comes to her native cuisine. The pho is beyond lovely, as are the summer rolls. The atmosphere is lovely and the prices are unbelievably low for such great food in the notoriously over-priced Temple Bar.
Koh- This super spot in Millennium Walkway is a fun and cosy spot to enjoy phenomenal Thai food! The curries are consistently brilliant, and the waiters are friendly and fun. I also love the effort that this place makes to ensure that vegan members of a group also have a fantastic dining experience.
Tani- This place is in Terenure and a little bit out in the suburbs, but is worth a mention for its great ramen and superb sushi!
Happy Eating!
