Api - get view statistics for pictures via api?

Hi community,
I’m very new to the local guide community. A technical question: You can see the views of your submitted pics if you manually check them over google maps. I want to do some research. Therefore I would like to write a programm that fetches the views automatically every day for my pics.

Do you know if that is possible via an API??

I looked but didn’t find anything…

Hello @ralph_muc i welcome you on community.

As i think you are talking about views on your uploaded photos on Maps. You can easily check your photos views in the option of maps, you can sort the views (Newest/ Most Viewed) also. I am sharing a screenshot take a look.

Hi @ralph_muc

I want to put in evidence that, according to the program rules, you can join the program with only one account. Please close your second account now from here: https://maps.google.com/localguides/home/settings

Hi @ralph_muc I see that no-one has really answered your question. Maps does present a number of public API which you can see at https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/ however, the Local Guides contributions are not included in the API set. While I don’t want to try and speak for Google I would be surprised if they were ever added as it would be too easy to get private information. Google are careful to always try and protect that access.

Feel free to raise it on Idea Exchange but remember to search first and vote on an existing idea if there is one.

hi @ErmesT , yes this was a mistake. @ralph_muc should be dead (at leas what I can see I closed it properly) since my real account is @ralph_munich. Hope it worked…

Hi @IshantHP_ig , thank you for your answer. But - conserning to your screenshot - the idea would be to have an API where I can extract the number “16” for the views for this pic automaticly. So that I can make every day automaticly an API call to see how the views develope without checking that manually. Any idea if this is possible?

This would make an research project much easier that to extract the number manually for each pic every day. I don’t need personal informations. Just the development of views for my pics every day.

As far as I can see the other account still alive, even if not used @ralph_munich , @ralph_muc so please close it following the link already provided. If you don’t, I don’t have any other options than reporting this violation
