Anyone Interested in Melbourne Guide Meet-Up Feb 2017

I’m wondering if anyone is interested in a meet up and walk around the museum and parks or at another landmark such as the Yarra river or botanical gardens? Alternatively we could do an online meet up or I will conduct a photo walk in the near future of anyone would like to suggest a place for this to occur.

I’d love to be in a group for Australian guides if one exists or I’ll begin one on Google+

I’m quite new here so I hope this meets posting requirements. Thank-you for your time.

Hi @MeganB_3 I’m the supported moderator for the Melbourne Local Guides community and we’ve got two meetups in Melbourne tomorrow. You’ll find the information in our Melbourne Local Guides community on Google Plus https://plus.google.com/u/0/communities/101547185807184847150 and I think they are both in the Local Guides Meetup Calendar (just checked, actually they’re not - oops - thought I’d put them in - I guess not) https://maps.google.com/localguides/event/meet-up

Walk 1: Kings Domain to Treasury Gardens Photowalk
Meet at 12.30pm at the fountain corner of Linlithgow Avenue and St Kilda Road. We’ll walk through Kings Domain with lots of good opportunities for Street photography, beer and food then up to Treasury Gardens via the Exhibition Street extension to see the Aboriginal Share The Spirit Festival finishing at Victorian Parliament House. Likely finish about 4pm. The walk will be informal ie no map.

Walk 2: Docklands Photowalk & Fireworks
Meet at 6pm at _The Cow Up A Tree _ for a photowalk around the festivities at Docklands culminating in the Australia Day fireworks. There will be plenty of opportunity to visit food trucks and get drinks during the walk. Likely finish about 9.45pm or after the fireworks, whatever comes first.

The next (semi) organised on is for White Night on Feb 18th 7pm - 7am. The Local Guides are likely to meet around 2am for wake up coffee. It’s too hard to stay together in a group as the crowds are huge.

If you want to host a meetup of your own you’re welcome.

Regards

Paul
