I recently changed a friends business categroy as a joke to “sacred place”, I thought it would not be approved anyway.
And well, it was somehow approved yesterday, so I immediately tried to change it back. The last “change” took about 1.5 months and of course we dont want to wait that long. Is there any way to undo the change or speed up the correction?
Changing a Business Listing “as a joke” is never a good idea, @DustmannF , so thanks for letting us know.
My suggestion is to report an error on Google Maps, through the “send a feedback” that you will find scrolling down your menu on Google Maps.
For more details you can read: Report an error on the map. Choose the last option: “Your opinion about Maps” and explain that you did a mistake.

In addition to what @ErmesT said about sending feedback directly in the Google Maps app, if your friend owns the business, they can sign up for Google My Business and claim the listing on Maps. This will allow them to change and manage the business information.
Please keep in mind that after you make an edit on Google Maps, it’s reviewed by either local operators, an automated system, or both, and it may take some time to be approved. You can find more information about the process in this article.
