Dear Google Moderators,
Is there any points for adding caption for images other than food image?
I have seen that we get 3 points for adding dish names under food image. But is that applicable for other images?

Hello @DibyayanC
Yes ! It’s applicable for other photos on the maps. Sometimes the AI asks is this a menu item? I have often added caption for store front or interior images. I also get the points for it.
The AI uses this to categorise the images for users. It’s a good feature really.

No, @DibyayanC , you don’t receive any point for adding a photo caption.
This point has been debated several times already in connect.
However a photo caption is extremely helpful for visually impaired people, because they can have in this way a description of the photo.
In any case I don’t think Google will give points in the future for captions.
In fact most of the “captions” that I have seen in Google Maps are not used as Captions, and in addition Google is already testing with a public app feature for captions generated automatically by the AI
An you share an example, @SholaIB , where you received points for a caption of a storefront?
How many points?
Captions are usually applied in 24 hours. When do you get the points?
Hello @ErmesT
.
I noticed when adding photos it has asked if they are menu items like I said earlier and if its a food menu I do add. Otherwise I have just had to name it if its an interior settings or entrance etc.
Instead of the normal 5 points for each photo I realised that they are bonus points added. Sorry for a misleading answer if that was wrong. My bad, thank you for your kind and gently corrections !!!

Photo tag is a very different subject, @SholaIB , and it is about naming dishes. In this way they are grouped in the menu items. In the past the feature was available also for other products, like shoes.
A caption is a description of the photo, helpful for understanding what the photo is showing, like the photo here below, where a am explaining that the bridge can be used also with a wheelchair
I never received Points for a Caption, @SholaIB and, as you said that you got them, and also mentioned “storefronts”, I would like to see an example.
I see better what you mean now @ErmesT
Did you read the main post of @DibyayanC ? Maybe he should confirm if he means photo tag or caption? Thank you for the clearance.
Cheers
