The points that you earn lead to higher levels of the program, as well as to benefits like early access to Google features and special perks from partners. Perks for different locations may be offered from time to time. To maximize your chances of being eligible for a future perk opportunity, continue to add high quality contributions to Google Maps.

my friends ask me the same question and I always tell them,
that it gives me peace, joy of doing the right thing and sense of belonging. It is part of me now and I love to stay connected to my Local Guides from around the world.
Like @MoniDi mentioned, there are no definitive perks based on volume, amount of contributuons, e.g. reaching a high photo view count or lets say likes on your reviews.
I think the biggest perk is the sense of satisfaction and love/support from this community.
you have millions of views already, wow, to me that is such a big achievement and that makes you an integral part of this community.
Keep posting, good things will come pretty soon, who knows you might save me a chair next ro you for CL20 ( if that happens)

HI @jeffymathew44 I’m a contributor like you are so first of all greatings for your pictures view!
I think every Local Guide receive this question by friends and colleagues but the answer, for me, is that I would like to cooperate in the creation of a powerful instrument that has the possibility to help people all around the world. Especially in my area I would like that tourist can find right information and I’m trying to do my best also in reviewing restaurant, pubs and so on by using different point of views (like accessibility related evaluations).
You are a Level 7 so you are a great contributor! Keep your contributions at an high level and the next time someone will ask you “why you are doing this for free?” the best answer from my side is “To help people, to help you!”.
