Currently there is no information about its availability. I still have the old version where you can just place a pin to show where the missing road would be. After searching a bit I couldn’t find any news or any people that can use it except this thread by @ErmesT from August.
It is possible to know more about the status of this tool and its deployment? Do we have to do something to enable it? I am already an user of Road Mapper since February and this doesn’t seem to change anything. It is only available to a very few people for test?
In my post mentioned by you I said that I was wondering why no one was mentioning the edit, despite an announcement early this year.
I am now glad to announce that Google “aim to have it available for all of you early next year”, as you can see from the video of the Guiding Stars 2021 announcement
I am actually working in a post for explaining how to use the new editor. It is indeed easier than editing a road on mobile, the edits are approved quickly (I had 138 road approved from when I started to use it)
The one in the example here below has been approved in 2 and a half days
Thank you for the information @ErmesT . Unfortunate to have to wait so long, almost a whole year, after the announcement to finally have the new tool. Maybe it will be progressively deployed to other Road Mapper users until them.
I like to add missing roads and I’ve found so many of them, but adding them using a phone is too long and fastidious. With this new tool it will become more interesting and easier to do.
