Is there anybody from Long Island,NY?
I want to start creating meetups for the summer 
I know summer schedules are chaotic but also a great time to make new friends and explore the mansions and gardens of the Gold Coast and out east!
Let me know what places you would like to explore!
I know that Roosevelt Field Mall needs a lot of updating with more recent closures maybe we can do a meet up there one day too!

@DiAnaUS there’s a huge Local Guide community within NYC area if you ever want to venture a little closer. There’s usually a meet up or 10 going on.

I work in the city during the weekdays, during the weekends its the last place I want to be because after struggling with the LIRR daily, I steer clear on going back on until I absolutely have to hahaha The LIRR hates my life, it’s always breaking down or delayed! They’re cutting service I think 25% starting soon, this past year has been a huge pain with the train lmao
But I’m really trying to get a Long Island group together, because NY is huge and not just about the city. There are so many other places to explore, Long Island has the Beautiful Gold Coast, the North Shore, South Shore, Montauk, the Hamptons, Garden City; beautiful state parks like Sunken Meadow, Belmont Lake, Heckscher Park, and Eisenhower park, Jones Beach, Long Beach, Robert Moses etc.
@DiAnaUS - Definitely make sure to post anything you do on the NYC board. The group does love to explore and you will likely get some of them to head your way if you plan any events!
@DiAnaUS I wholeheartedly agree with @ErinK ! We love to explore and I would be happy to come out for a meet-up, though as someone who lives in Brooklyn only near 1 friend, I get the idea of wanting to have people who live nearby. Even so, Long Island is so big, it might be easier for me to get out there than for someone to come in from another part of the island.
I would live to explore the island even more and also of course the city.I live in smithtown but am always looking for more opportunities and like minded people to better enjoy the area with.
There needs to be Long Island Meetups! I live in Queens (which is on Long Island too you know), but I spend so much time in Nassau and Suffolk
Hi there! I’d say I’m fairly new…I started actively contributing about 2.5 months ago. This is actually the first thing i’ve posted on Local Guides Connect! I am almost a level 8, not sure if that’s “average” or not for my amount of time.
I live on Long Island → Suffolk County → North Fork by vineyards.
What do Local Guide meet-ups usually consist of?
A little-bit about me: My photos are mainly family activities/travels, frequent doctor visits (i found out about 1.5 years ago that i have a rare neurological disorder), and of course FOOD related: my family and i love dining out and enjoy going to Michelin Star restaurants, we enjoy traveling when we can (it’s usually food motivated/related!). We are going back to Sweden in November, because we finally got a seat at a restaurant we’ve been dreaming of for a while! I’m excited to take pictures there & i want to look into the 360 contributions as well.
