Hello fellow Local Guides in Kyoto! Would you be interested in having a photo walk meet up soon especially as it’s the start of the sakura season? @julietaeko and I are thinking of hosting one either at Philosopher’s Walk or Kyoto Botanical Garden. Would April 7th (Sunday) already be too soon? It’s just it would be a great opportunity to do it with all the sakura blossoms. Anyway let us know what you think. Thanks!

It’s a great idea to organize meet-up in Kyoto during the Cherry blossom season. It will be amazing for sure.
I recommend creating a meet-up on our meet-up site and interested Local Guides in your area can indicate their interest via RSVP. You can share your meet-up more widely on your social channels, which may garner your friends or family to become Local Guides too!

Thanks for the welcome and links to the meet-up guidelines @Ivi_Ge - very much appreciated. I tried to submit a meet-up and just received a rejection with an unclear and undetailed explanation. The problem seems to be about the photo I used and asked me to check the guidelines. I did but there is not really any guidance or requirements on the Guidelines about the photo to be submitted for the meet-up. Not very helpful and not really encouraging at all for my first attempt to host a meet-up, I have to say.

I am sorry for the rejection of your meet-up. But I would like to suggest you to submit the new one.
Just as a reminder, when you use the photo for the meet-up make sure to share your own image rather than copy from another source.
You might not know but it is not allowed to post images in the forum that infringes on anyone else’s legal rights, including copyright. For further information, please review the Local Guides community policy.

@Ivi_Ge thank you! I do not really have a photo of Mt Takao that’s why I used someone else’s image and credited them on it. Not all Local Guides have images of the places they haven’t been but would like to explore with other Local Guides. Isn’t that the reason for hosting a photo walk meet-up? Anyway thanks for approving my second attempt.
