An anthill in Chinauta Cumdinamarca, in its simplest form, is a pile of dirt, sand, leaves, or clay or a mixture of these and other materials that accumulate at the entrances of these underground dwellings when they are excavated. Their only task is to lay eggs to increase the number of individuals in the colony. Most of the eggs laid by the queens are developed to produce sterile females without wings, called “workers”.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lQTwMo0oPn4

It’s very cool to be watching the ant’s colony working on a sunny day
, they put little stones in the entrance of the caves to walk more easily.
