The Navajo Indians in their wonderful language divide the canyon into two parts, the upper and the lower. Antelope Canyon is a slot canyon close to Page, Arizona.
Antelope includes two separate, scenic slot canyon sections, referred to as Upper Antelope Canyon (or The Crack), and Lower Antelope Canyon (or The Corkscrew). The Navajo name for Upper Antelope Canyon is Tsé bighánílíní, which means ‘the place where water runs through rocks’. Lower Antelope Canyon is Hasdestwazi or ‘spiral rock arches’.
The canyon can only be accessed through guided tours (I recommend a site that in my opinion groups the best ones: https://navajonationparks.org/guided-tour-operators/antelope-canyon-tour-operators/).
The other advice I want to give you is to book your place early and to choose the early morning tours (although many prefer midday ones for the sun high in the sky). Here are some photos and videos to show you a preview of the beauty of these magical places.
