I’m looking for advice, hopefully, this great community will be able to help
In the ‘Answer questions’ section on Google Maps for months now I’ve been only seeing 2 places. Previously I was asked questions about dozens of places at a time, but some time ago something changed and I get the same exact 10 questions, in a different order each time about 2 places only. Two issues here:
I don’t see any other places from my timeline
I get the same set of questions about the same two places every time.
Till date, there is no satisfactory reply on that.
Further, answering the same repeat questions may deduct the points.
Nevertheless, you need not wait to receive the queries. If any place is there in your timeline, on click to that the app will query- “Know this place?”, and the questions will surface.
But, the questions will repeat & then answering those will turn into a futile exercise.
Surprisingly I do not encounter any problems when selecting the ‘Know this place?’ option, only when going to Contribute - Answer Questions. In this section, I always get only 2 places and the same questions over and over again.
The questions cycle through the four to five places which you rated or reviewed recently. That’s not even linked to the timeline.
However, as per my experience, the answer to the questions is a precarious way to earn some quick points. You may even loose points if your answers aren’t consistent.
