Well done @TsRekha on completing the Annapurna Circuit and in particular crossing Thorong La Pass. At 17,769 ft (5,416m) and higher than both Annapurna Base Camp and Everest Base Camp, this is one of the highest and most spectacular passes in the world, and on the Annapurna Circuit which is often praised as the holy grail of trekking.

The Annapurna range is well known for its unpredictable weather, which can change rapidly, potentially leading to whiteout conditions and making navigation extremely difficult making Thorong La a very tough pass. Believe me this is not a walk in the park! Back on October 2014, some 43 people perished as violent blizzards caused dramatic snowfall, avalanches and white-out conditions, conditions that are somewhat unusual for that time of the year!
