I live in the boundless but harsh Siberia at 80’9 east longitude.
I have long dreamed of seeing how people live on the opposite side of the Earth. But, hell, not knowing English, it was not easy to decide on such a journey!
I ventured on such a risky journey only when autonomous Google Maps, Google Translator and Google Trip appeared. I could, having driven 18 countries, finally fulfill my dream.
Now I know that on the opposite side of the Earth at 80’9 west longitude there is a surprisingly beautiful place - the cape of La Chocolatera (city of Salinas, Ecuador) is the westernmost point of South America.
There live friendly and responsive cheerful people. I quickly became friends with them and found a common language. By a happy coincidence, I ended up at the 80th anniversary of the city of Salinas, we had fun, watched the parade and fireworks.
On New Year’s Eve, we performed the rite of burning manicoths and it was very good for me because I found new friends in South America.
I drove along the west coast of the Pacific Ocean from San Lorenzo to Lima and kept unforgettable memories of this journey.
And who are your neighbors living on the back of the planet Earth?
And if you suddenly find yourself in Salinas, be sure to try the local morocho dish.
