Óbuda is famous for it’s authentic restaurants, and for the ancient Roman ruins. It was a bath city of the Romans more than 2k years ago, as there is thermal water in the area, as at many places in Budapest, and also in Hungary.
Did you know, that the Romans had floor heating? 2000 years ago!
All the way, when you walk around Óbuda, you’ll see the ancient rocks, in the underpass, at parks, along the road.
There are also ruins in the garden of a primary school, children don’t really know, where they play tag, they call it stone tag, you can only run on stones.
There is also an amphiteatre, it’s being renovated at the moment.
