On a mild bright weekend I alongside my two friends went out for some groceries, because of the pandemic we use to stay at home. Since it was a short drive and some outside air was genuinely necessary following an entire seven day stretch of working, we headed more towards E-11, Islamabad, the starting point was Ghauri Town (Islamabad). The sunset was hypnotizing and adding a shine to nature, out of nowhere one of us sprung up the plan to make a trip to Taxila however we (the other two) cannot. The counter thought was to explore Shah AllahDita Caves and Mountains which are only ahead from the E-11 sector so we redirected there into the mountains.
Driving gradually around the bend road we wound up to Shah AllahDita where notwithstanding the pandemic circumstance a good crowd was present as an outing spot, we didn’t bother to remain there consequently we continued moving. At a turn we halted the vehicle to get some outside air and had some photography as a memory. A short time later we began proceeding onward there were two roads one we took prompted a nearby society so we turn around to the point of divergence, got some information about the other road a local said this will lead you to Khanpur we checked on Google Maps, was a thin line of road, so we followed.
The road was inconsistent, there was hardly a little solid road rest was only asphalt to follow on which we drove gradually. On both of our sides were mountains and the view was mesmerizing there was not a single individual with the exception of 03 of us and this went on for an hour or something like that. After that we entered a fine road where we saw another vehicle originating from the other way, the road entered us to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Passing by a modest village in front of us was KhanPur Dam, it was day break and we were getting a charge out of it from a distance. Moving down the road we entered into Taxilla (the spot we were arguing about initially) unexpectedly we came here. We reached a friend place and went to his Dera (the community space) close to a marble factor, Taxilla is famous for its marble work across the country, spent some great time under the moon with friends while keeping up social distancing and every single careful step (referencing here on the grounds that this is the main point we communicated with people).
Up next we begin driving back to Islamabad with some great melodies and getting a charge out of the peak of an unplanned journey which turned into a memory. Here is the commute we did:
