Thanks for sharing a genuine place, dear @vyapak ; unless you told, I would have known about this.

Well done dear, LG.

I visited the mentioned site; I too have commented that such places need attention of the users.

Great Keep it up.

Can I make a humble suggestion?

Hi @vyapak ,

I read your post and I appreciate that you are helping people like Md. Adrik but being a Local Guide you should abide by and follow certain rules and policies.

It seems you are not aware that you cannot promote businesses without any legal address which can be removed from or change places.

Thus I would urge you to check our policies before promoting such businesses or you can take help from a moderator.

Regards,

Harpal Singh

hi @Harpal

I guess the place gets added in the google maps by neutral agents or rather an unconnected members

so if the place has been added, I think it is a legitimate entry.

You would agree with me that in INDIA the contribution to economy y the unorganised sector is significant. This implies that we all in India rely on this sector, and majority of Indians are employed in unorganised sector and Md. Adrik is one such example. If he is existing there for two decades means his business is flourishing implying that the business is for real and information on Maps is correct. Many in that locality would be looking for such services and the information would aid such people.

As regards promoting business - I don’t think we are promoting business when we add a five star hotel on google maps and review it. I think we must not be indifferent towards such small time entrepreneurs who are contributing their bit to the society and economy

I would be happy to see many more service providers like Mohd. Adrik on google maps.

Thanks

Hi @vyapak , @TravellerG , @KennethF

I understand you have a soft corner for such kind of business but being a local guide I’m sure you must have agreed to rules and regulations.

According to our official policy this business doesn’t have a sign and storefront, there is no permanent or official address of this business therefore we cannot promote such businesses.

Thus I would request you to kindly remove it from the map and abide by the policy.

Regards,

Harpal Singh
