There is something truly special about winning a competition, but the real joy comes when your creation becomes part of a shared celebration. Watching something you designed come to life and seeing it proudly worn and shared by so many members of the community is an indescribable feeling. At that moment, every idea, every revision, and every bit of effort feels completely worthwhile.
The Namaste India Summit 2026, taking place in Delhi on August 15 & 16th, promises to be a grand celebration of the Indian Local Guides community. The organizing team has worked tirelessly to create an exciting lineup of activities, and the logo and T-shirt design competitions were among the many creative initiatives that brought our community together. I feel deeply honored and humbled that my T-shirt design was chosen as the official design for this year’s summit.
The first glimpse of the printed T-shirt filled me with pride, but what followed made the experience even more meaningful. As Local Guides began sharing photos, profile pictures, and status updates featuring the T-shirt, I couldn’t help but smile. My name may not be printed on it, and that’s perfectly fine; the greatest reward is knowing that something I created has become a small part of so many wonderful memories. Seeing my work travel across the community and become a symbol of this celebration is a feeling I will always cherish.
This achievement would not have been possible without the encouragement and support of so many wonderful people. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to @AjitThite dada, @Tejal ben, @NareshDarji Ji, @Kumaarsantosh Ji, @SharmaK Ji, and @TravellerG Ji for believing in me, guiding me, and motivating me throughout this journey. Every organizer and volunteer contributes selflessly to create memorable experiences for the community, and their efforts deserve our deepest appreciation.
Moments like these remind me why I love being part of the Local Guides community. It’s a place where creativity is celebrated, friendships are built, contributions are valued, and everyone inspires one another to grow. I feel incredibly fortunate to be a part of this amazing family.
