After a fair amount of contribution from my journeys here and there with the community, I looked back and realized the Local Guides program records my firsthand experiences at places I had been to. With records from other Local Guides all over the world, the platform is so rich of the content diversity that I love coming across as I believe that diversity brings in the beauty to the world we live in.
Isn’t it astonishing to see how one simple menu can be interpreted differently in each neighborhood? For example, a dish of chicken rice from Jub Jub Khao Mun Kai in Bangkok looks different to one from Boon Tong Kee in Singapore, a You Tiao from Gow Neng in Chiangmai, created with some imagination , looks different to the OG in Beijing. And everyone shares different point of view, which varies upon their background, experience or expectation towards that very same object, leading to a even greater discussion.
Even though I usually study from a locations before paying my physical visit, more often than not, the thrill in exploring is still there since who knows I might experience differently to what had been written. The excitement in exploring just sparks joy and keep me engaged.
