As my 4 years old son is learning wild animals in his school, I decided to take him to the zoo to show him wild animals. Last year I took him to Karachi Zoo, so this time I decided to take him to a private zoo named Danzoo.
Danzoo is located around 40 km from city center in a giant residence society Bahria Town. Danzoo is a day and night safari open at 11:00 am and close at 11:00 pm. As this is a private zoo, its expensive than the government owned Karachi zoo. Entrance ticket for adult is Rs. 700 per person and Rs. 400 for kids from 2 years to 12 years age. Buggy rides are included in basic entrance fee.
Danzoo is spread on a wide area so we decided to take a buggy, instead of walking and started safari. As someone said, a picture speaks louder than 1000 words, I prefer to add few pictures instead of writing.
Although quantity of animals is less than Karachi zoo but quality of animals and their living standard is way better. All animals are kept in their natural habitat style which is appreciable. Cages are very clean and management is treating animals very nicely.
There are lush green gardens, tuck shops, restaurants, prayer room and clean washrooms available for public to enjoy.
Every weekend danzoo management arrange a free exotic animals show at around 7:00 pm where people can watch and even take self pictures with these animals under controlled environment. Unfortunately I missed that show in between as my little master was very tired.
Such a nice post. I have never been to کراچی. Also, I never knew about a privately owned zoo in pakistan. Thank you @siqbal for the information and the beautiful pictures you have added.
Thank a lot for sharing @siqbal Last year I visited Karachi with family But I never Heard about this Zoo Now you make addition my List of Must see list of karachi
Another beautiful post @siqbal , I heard first time about Zoo in Bahria Town, and I will surely visit here soon.
I hope this memorable day was also a great learning session for your Son as well. Because I believe a person can learn more by physical visit rather than watch just pictures or video on computer.
