Neither I am good at imagery nor at writing, but an effort which may touch, to the nature lovers.
The whole country, as of now, just halted due to locked down, to reduce the effect of Corona. Around 5 pm, we intended for an evening walk along the River to Baga Beach to see the most favourite magical event mean Viewing of Sunset. Me and wife together came out from our Resort Royal Monte Rio at the Arapora-Baga beach road which is the main road. On one side is the beautiful Baga River at other bank Hotel Riverside Deluxe and at this bank, numerous Hotels, Restaurants, guest houses, Saloon, Wine shop, Super Market etc and famous Royal Enfield Garage Cafe are located. Panoramic views and reflections of surroundings in the river water were heart touching. We found lot of Baniyan trees and Goa is quite popular for its scenic beauty and greenery. Enjoying the greenery and panoramic views, without any tiredness, we had walked about two kilometers. We were at Baga Bridge. This bridge connect Arapora via Baga to Calangute, it was built in 2007.
Lot of fishermen’s boats were anchored in the creek. And reflections of hill and Palm trees were giving a relief to our souls. As we were discussing about the beauty and we thought to follow the route via fishermen’s colony. We noticed that some were repairing their boats and some were busy with the fishing nets. We could greet a lady, who intern greeted us with a smile and a comment, what is this suffering because of this shut down, I said don’t worry it’s in favour of us.
We just crossed a large shade which was having many stalls on wheels, might be of various Street food or fast food, then a large car parking area and a Shiva temple. We choose the way to access the Baga Beach via Fishermen’s Nook Seafood Restaurant and Lario’s Beach Shake as all were closed and this popular beach was just deserted because of locked down. My favourite three puppies were playing and they also greeted. The Sun was about to set , and blue sapphire was ready to kiss our feet.
