An Estuary-Sanctuary!

This is an Estuary,a place where the river joins up with the sea
St paul River joins up with the sea in New Kru Town in Monrovia-Liberia

It’s so beautiful. I found the place yesterday on a walk. It is amazing to see the sea bubbling on one side and the river calm on the other side but they are both side by side. It’s amazing what beautiful nature can be around us. We need to explore and discover. I enjoyed this place very briefly maybe I’ll fine time to get back there again sometime. It seems it’s not on Google maps therefore I have no link to share.

A very relaxing atmosphere and sound at the Estuary

Have you ever been to an Estuary before? Please share your experience or comment.

Many years ago, I visited a similar location in our Konkan region seashore, called Hedvi, where we can see a small river meeting the sea. Nowadays, they have restricted entry there, especially given the high tides and tidal range, as it could be an accident-prone zone. Seeing the river meet the sea right in front of you was breathtaking for me at the time.

That’s a very fond memory for me!

Cheers!

Yes @AjitThite

It was very breathtaking for me yesterday. It was a very nice feeling. I was told that as well, that it is an accident prone place. The current is very strong at the place.

Thanks for sharing your experience and the link as well.

Thank you @Annaelisa I appreciate your nice comments.

Such a beautiful place, thank you for sharing @SholaIB I haven’t yet had the chance to visit an estuary but it’s on my bucket list.

Oh wow @Ssiddharth2000

It’s a lovely place to visit. It’s just great to see the 2 different bodies of water and 2 different natures. Make sure to get a visit if you get a chance to see one. You’ll love it

It’s quite refreshing. Thanks for replying. It’s a nice break from adding roads

You are absolutely right @SholaIB It’s a refreshing break, and the estuary in itself is a diverse place teeming with various types of flora and fauna.
