An error on the tabs photos in Maps

Hi friends!

There is an error that only occurs on Maps desktop version: when I select the photos of a place, in the tab “Uploaded by you” I also see photos that are not mine but uploaded by other users. From the smartphone (iPhone) instead the photos appear correctly.

Does it happen to you too?

Update: in all the tabs “All” - “Most recent” - “From owner” - “Video” ecc ecc the same photos always appear, I tried with two different browsers (Chrome and Edge updated to the latest version) and both with active user account or not in Maps.

I tag @ErmesT to see if he can test it himself.

In fact it seems that the filter by tabs is not working, and I see all the photos on every tab, without any selection (filter)

Interesting observation @davidhyno

Surprisingly, browser on Android phone is able to distinguish photos in different tabs.

Hi guys,

so I just discovered that the “by you” tab under photos at a place is all mixed up with photos other people uploaded. I don’t even know them or are somehow “connected” to them if that would be a question.

I tried multiple places and everywhere the “By you” folders show some of my photos as well as from other local guides.

Is Google aware of this?

If your finding is on a desktop browser, then that’s a known issue.

If that’s a new discovery on the phone, then you are the first one to report that!

Yep, it’s on desktop. I haven’t checked the phone yet.

@KlaudiyaG just tagging a Google moderator on this, I wasn’t in the communication previously if this has been escalated (as @C_T stated it is a known issue), so just to make sure this is being looked at, if it is not already.

Regarding in desktop maps, go to any location, under photos, the “By You” tab has photos by other people also.
