After participating Local Guides Storytelling virtual meet-up with connect moderator, I have been eagerly waiting ever since. The program had a special surprise. Around fifty of the participants were gifted, I was one of them. I always love getting gift. It’s even better to wait for something to like. Finally the wait is over today. Received the gifts.
There was an opportunity to choose among several souvenirs. I took a blue bottle with a Google logo made of wood, with a magnet attached to the back. It is not an ordinary bottle, it is a kind of message, which will always remind me of what my responsibility as a local guide really is and what I should do. My responsibility have increased, because these two gifts have increased my sense of responsibility. Both of these are very beautiful. I am very happy to have received these today.
It is my pleasure to work on Google Maps. Whenever I travel somewhere, I try to add information and pictures to the map. It is completely voluntary work. These awards are in no way my remuneration, but recognition of my work, which encourages me to do better. I would like to contribute more in future.
