I have long wanted to ride over the river Thames. A few weeks ago I was in London for a two day trip and decided to opt a 30 mins boat tour over Thames river. It was awesome. Saw many historic places of London but I missed the actual Big Ben as its still being repaired.
Here are few pics and a short video clip from my tour album.
How did you enjoy London? How long was the ride? I remember when I was in London a few years back, I was crossing the Thames almost daily. I never took these boat rides though, would you recommend it?
I really enjoyed my trip to UK, visiting London for two days was fun. London eye ride was awesome, yesterday I posted here regarding my first Ferris wheel experience in abroad.
Regarding Thames river boat ride, it was a memorable experience for me to see London on a mild rainy day. The total duration of ride was 60 minutes. The views of London’s landmark and at the same time listening live English commentary made my day. So London eye ride and Thames boat ride - I recommend both.
Thank you for another great post from London. I bet that the guide gave you some information about the buildings and the monuments visible during your cruise. If not, have you seen the one in the second picture which is on the left? It’s named The Shard .It was completed in 2012 and projected by Renzo Piano, a famous architect that was born in my same town. I strongly advise you to visit it the next time you planning to go to London, as the view from there is absolutely fantastic.
@Sorbe Thanks for your reply. Yes, the guide gave us details about the buildings and surroundings places of interest during the cruise trip. And I also remember he told about ‘The Shard’.
I have an online check list of my past tour, where I can put this for my suggested list for next London trip.
