The Kaduna Polo Club is located at the city center of Kaduna and is the biggest and amongst the oldest polo clubs in Nigeria. It has an acreage of about 250 hectares and was opened in 1918.
It has polo practice area and horse riding area all caved and covered in natural grass surface. The club usually hosts different types of competitions. The recent biggest and one of a kind tournament that it hosted was the Centenary Tournament in 2018, which was celebrated as a result of the legacy and anniversary of 100 years. It was participated by total of about 40 teams from across Nigeria including Port Harcourt Polo Clubs, Abuja Guards Brigade Polo Club, Lagos Polo Clubs amongst others.
Amongst the biggest prizes of the tournament are The Georgian Cup, Emir of Katsina Cup, NAHCON Cup etc.
Other side activities are also held at the club which includes picnics (usually at the practice pitch not main pitch), club house games (snooker, table tennis, and so on), Suya vendors (firewood-grilled stick meat), bar and lounge (mostly for club members only).
