Here’s a list of some amazing temples in the Kingdom of Thailand, most of which are off the traditional tourist trail. They take some dedication to get to but the reward is worth the effort.
Hi @StuartBKK ,
Thanks for sharing your wonderful photos! Do you live in Thailand? The photos are incredible. Could you tell us a bit more about these temples, where are they located and what are they known for?
Unfortunately, I couldn’t open your link. You can edit your post easily from the left side and check out this article How do I write a post on Connect for more information as well.
Hi @DanniS ,
Thank you so much. Yes, I live in Thailand and like to share some of the great places I’ve found.
The link was shared from my public list on Google Maps, but you’re right it doesn’t seem to work… I’m editing to add some more details. Am bit of a newbie when it comes to sharing, sorry
@StuartBKK It’s great now, thanks! How is life in Thailand? It’s probably quite different. I’ve never been there, but I’d love to visit Bangkok and explore some temples. They are stunning! What’s your favorite thing about living in Thailand?
Hi @DanniS
I originally just cut and pasted link rather than using the insert link tab, thanks for letting me know it wasn’t working.
Life in Thailand is amazing - just like the tourism slogan - but tourists often don’t get to see some of the more out of the way temples and attractions. I’ve often been completely alone exploring some incredible spots but Google Maps/Local Guides have really helped which is why I am trying to help other adventurers. You should definitely come and check it out - my favorite things (plural) in Thailand are food, temples, islands and people
@StuartBKK That’s exactly what Connect is for, sharing experiences and giving advice and help to others. I’ve also learned about so many places that I wouldn’t have known without Connect.
Thailand I think is a must-visit place. My parents visited a few years back and say the same; people, food nature is just amazing! Thanks again for sharing and looking forward to see more cool spots.
@DanniS I’m happy you appreciated the post. I’m still learning about contributing to the wider Local Guide Connect community so advice and feedback are very welcome. I’m trying to find time to apply to the Connect Live event so I can learn quickly from Googlers and Local Guides and so share more effectively in the future.
Let me know if you are coming to Thailand! I would be happy to show you a few of my favourite places in Bangkok
