Another place worth visiting is the Colored Canyon and its unusual landscape that’s bound to capture your imagination. Some liken it to the surface of the Moon, while others see mystical figures in rocks.
There are three natural reservations near Sharm el-Sheikh: the famous Ras Mohammed Reservation is an excellent place for diving and watching sea creatures. Due to its seismic activity, the entire reservation is covered in cracks and various interesting formations. The Nabq Natural Park is a real bird paradise – many different bird species prefer to hatch in the mangrove trees. The Ras Abu Galum National Park, on the other hand, is unique in its climate – so unlike the rest of Egypt and much more reminiscent of the Mediterranean Region. The park has several freshwater bodies that are home to the rarest of plant species.
