Am i wrong - Changing business instead of change name

Hello, all.

Today I changed a listing status.

It is a restaurant, that was marked as Closed.

In fact it is working again, but the owner is different and the name is different as well.

So firstly I edited the listing as Opened, to be able to change its name later.

It was Ok.

After that I changed the name but when G maps ask me - is it changing of name or changing the business, I clicked Changing of the business, because name and owner are both already different.

And G maps closed the listing again.

What to do?

Am I wrong?

You did nothing wrong.

The option you choose is designed to close the old listing and create a new one.

And I think that is the correct thing to do when there is a new owner. And as the name also is new it would be misreading if old reviews and photos were to be shown on the new place.

Como dice @MortenCopenhagen así es. Hay que cerrar el sitio anterior y abrir un nuevo sitio, ya que el negocio anterior tenía fotos y reseñas que no se corresponden con el nuevo negocio.

You did nothing wrong.

As you mentioned that the name and owner is changed know. The old review may impact their new business or its create confusion among the new customer.

So its time to create a fresh listing by using present name and provide the updated information according to the new owner.
