Alone in not understanding

I am going to be very short in my post here.

1- I don’t see the question “Are you here now?”, while I am actually visiting the place.

2- In my profile, I can see that I have 902 reviews, but when I look at my own review of a place, I see that I have only 715 reviews.

3- It seems to me, that my reviews during the last three months have randomly tagged as “Faked engagement”/“Review not posted”. The motivation offered by google hereby is “This review doesn’t follow our content policies.” The random sampling could also include previous reviewers with over several hundred views and many likes.

4- If I visit a place, which I have reviewed before, I get a suggestion from Google Map, to rate and review the place (again), which is really quite strange.

Even though every one of these 4 topics might have different reasons, the affect of all of them together creates an unpleasant experience.

I wonder what if I am alone …

It would have been really helpful to get some comments from Google champions. Please comment.

You are not alone @I-am-Q

Many local guides are also confused with the sudden change of “are you here now”

Your missing reviews and unpublished photos are hidden because of a new spam filter. You will have to fill out a form for Google to check your account.

Thanks for your reply @waza28

I have done that, the issue is not knowing the rules in advance. It is really annoying. Try to follow the guidelines to find out your hidden reviews … it is really complicated and almost tortuous …

anyhow, I am sure Google will fix it … I have now stopped all kinds of reviews and just wait …

Hi @I-am-Q

I know, the issue with the reviews is quite complicate to understand, and many get discouraged.

Sometimes (not always, but sometimes) guidelines have nothing to do our reviews made private.

Trying to give some light about the issue I wrote a post based on my analysis of the last year: Your review has not been published. Do you know why?

Personally I continue to write my reviews, and when hidden I simply appeal for them to be released.

Fixing it do not depends only to what Google choose to do, as you may understand in my post. And of course, we can help for this to happen

Thanks @ErmesT

You got my comments there.

You see, when the rate of change is faster than the time it takes to implement a change, chaos ensues. As you can see in my first post, I am experiencing several errors, seemingly independent of each other.
